Job summary

Randstad Digital New Zealand is seeking a highly strategic Solutions Architect to join our Enterprise Architecture team. While technical capability is essential, the primary driver of success is your ability to engage, influence, and align with business stakeholders.

You will shape and deliver channels and integration roadmaps, guide cross-functional teams through governance, and navigate a regulated landscape.

Qualifications

Exceptional communication with proven stakeholder engagement across multiple levels.
Experience as a Solutions Architect in medium-to-large enterprise environments, Banking/Financial Services knowledge valued.
Strong technical mastery of RESTful APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, SaaS integration, and API security (OAuth, OIDC).
Analytical mindset with focus on quality and attention to detail.
Nice-to-have: integration engineering/full-stack development background, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), knowledge of BIAN, cybersecurity awareness.

Responsibilities

Stakeholder Leadership: Engage, influence, and negotiate with business stakeholders and vendors, guiding them through architecture designs, governance, and approvals.
Strategic Design: Break down complex business needs and translate them into high-level solution designs, future-state architectures, and option assessments.
Shape the Future: Evaluate and recommend solutions that perfectly align with overarching strategic goals and target platforms.
Embed Best Practice: Collaborate globally with Enterprise Architects to develop reusable patterns and embed best practices across the organization.
Navigate Ambiguity: Provide clear technology leadership and deal confidently with evolving standards and ambiguity in a highly regulated landscape.
