Job summary

The New Zealand Government is seeking a Principal Advisor based in Wellington to lead the implementation of a major cross-agency government response. You will provide expert advice to senior leaders, Ministers and governance groups, drive programme performance and oversee complex workstreams across the health sector.

You will build strong stakeholder relationships, convene governance meetings, and ensure resources and reporting processes are in place to keep deliverables on track.

Qualifications

• Experience held to Principal Advisor level.
• Excellent organisational and programme management skills.
• Calm under pressure and collaborative work style.
• Experience in high-profile, fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop work plans and governance arrangements.
• Lead internal project team meetings and external AoG meetings.
• Ensure appropriate resources are allocated to tasks.
• Measure deliverables, manage risks, and report regularly.
• Brief ELT, Director-General and Minister as required.
