Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of the Government Response to the Royal Commission of Inquiry into COVID-19, ensuring成功 delivery of key Ministry priorities.
  • Provide expert advice to senior leaders, Ministers, and governance groups, driving programme performance and overseeing complex projects and workstreams.
  • Influence decisions across the Ministry and wider health sector.
  • Develop work plans and governance arrangements.

  • Ensure appropriate resources are allocated and monitor deliverables and risks.

What you’ll do - Ko tōu ake mahi

This Principal Advisor role is responsible for leading the implementation of the Government Response to the Royal Commission of Inquiry into COVID-19, ensuring successful delivery of key Ministry priorities.

In this role you will provide expert advice to senior leaders, Ministers, and governance groups, driving programme performance, overseeing complex projects and workstreams, and influencing decisions across the Ministry and wider health sector.

This is a high-profile opportunity to put your Programme Management and organisational skills to use, while building strong stakeholder relationships, and leading with a cross-agency focus.

  • Develop work plans
  • Draft and establish governance arrangements
  • Lead internal project team meetings
  • Convene external AoG meetings
  • Ensure appropriate resource assigned to tasks
  • Measure that deliverables are on track, and manage and mitigate risks
  • Establish regular reporting processes
