Job summary
Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities is seeking an experienced Portfolio Lead to help ensure our Transformation and Technology Operations portfolio is realistic, integrated, and achievable. You will shape portfolio plans, assure delivery performance, and provide insights that strengthen planning and prioritisation across NZ projects.
In this role, you will influence strategic decisions, work across complex technology environments, and collaborate with senior leaders to deliver meaningful outcomes
Qualifications
- Proven senior portfolio management experience across transformation and technology projects.
- Strong understanding of technology operations, SDLC, and service delivery.
- Proven ability to influence planning and delivery decisions across stakeholders.
- Experience in large, complex organisations, ideally in public sector.
- Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving to improve portfolio performance.
- Balance strategic thinking with operational execution aligned to priorities.
Responsibilities
- Lead portfolio improvement & delivery and enable successful transformation.
- Partner with Executive/Senior leaders & delivery teams to support effective portfolio governance, planning & execution.
- Shape portfolio plans, assuring delivery performance and providing insights for planning and prioritisation decisions.
