Job summary

Northland Regional Council seeks a Corporate Strategy Manager to shape long-term planning, governance, risk and improvement. You’ll partner with senior leaders and elected members to turn strategy into action and ensure the organisation stays aligned with community outcomes.

Leading corporate planning, performance, policy and change initiatives, you’ll unite people, processes and strategy to enable informed decisions and strong regional resilience.

Qualifications

• Requires strategic thinking and ability to translate strategy into action.
• Proven facilitation and presentation skills with senior leaders and committees.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building across functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic corporate planning and reporting processes across LTPs, annual plans and annual reports.
• Oversee governance, risk and compliance frameworks to support informed decision-making.
• Support high-quality governance with policy knowledge and executive processes.
• Drive business improvement initiatives to strengthen organisational capability and service delivery.
• Build relationships internally and with external stakeholders to enable collaboration and long-term success.
