Job summary

Dunedin City Council is seeking a proactive Strategic Planning Engineer to join the Engineering Services Team. You will guide ongoing strategic planning of 3 Waters infrastructure and asset condition assessments to inform long-term capital works programs.

You will lead high-level options studies, coordinate consultants, and ensure assets meet current and future needs, with a focus on delivering value and sustainable results for Dunedin.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication in English.
• Significant analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Experience in long-term infrastructure planning and asset management.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic and high-level option studies for 3 Waters infrastructure.
• Develop, maintain and optimise asset standards and data structures.
• Manage input from consultants to support asset strategy development and capital programming.
