Job summary

Auckland Council is seeking a Head of Property Analytics and Optimisation to lead the new unit that underpins the council's property decisions for a $70 billion portfolio. You will shape investment plans, provide evidence-based advice to leaders and elected members, and drive cross-functional collaboration to improve planning and community outcomes for 1.8 million Aucklanders.

Reporting to the GM Commercial and Property, this role offers an opportunity to build an evidence engine across property

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in senior roles across property, asset management, analytics, investment, or strategy.
• Leadership of enterprise-scale planning, analytics, or optimisation programmes.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with business case expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Property Analytics and Optimisation unit, providing the technical, commercial and valuation evidence base behind the council's property decisions.
• Develop investment plans aligned with organisational priorities.
• Provide evidence-based advice to leaders, and elected members.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to improve planning and community outcomes.
