Job summary

LIC in Hamilton, New Zealand seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead strategic delivery across complex IT initiatives, coordinating with internal teams, business stakeholders and external providers to drive successful outcomes.

You will manage change, dependencies, and risks, ensure on-time delivery, maintain project records and contractual obligations, and mentor team members in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience as a Project Manager or business manager with responsibility for successful delivery.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution capabilities.
• Proven capability to stay calm and organised when faced with multiple projects within tight deadlines.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and relationship building skills.
• Process focused and detail orientated.
• Flexible attitude, open to change and able to cope in an ever-changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Navigate and manage organisational change and communications with ease.
• Identify dependencies, change and risk; determine critical paths and contingency plans.
• Coach, mentor, and motivate project team members for positive action and accountability.
• Facilitate seamless transition from project delivery to operational support.
• Collaboratively define OKRs for success.
• Manage and maintain accurate project records and contractual obligations including timely reporting.
