Job summary

Placements24 invites a seasoned Information Security Architect to design secure infrastructure and applications in a hybrid Queenstown setting. You will shape our cybersecurity posture, define standards, and evaluate technologies to protect data integrity and confidentiality across on-prem and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in information security with focus on security architecture and design.
• Experience designing secure solutions for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of network security, application security, cryptography, and identity management.
• Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001) and compliance requirements.
• Strong threat modeling and risk assessment methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking with clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security architectures for on-prem and cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain security standards, blueprints, and reference architectures.
• Evaluate security technologies and threat mitigation solutions.
• Lead security reviews of projects, apps, and infra designs.
• Collaborate with engineering to embed security into the dev lifecycle.
• Develop and manage security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Conduct security risk assessments and mitigation planning.
