Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Solutions Architect with a Security Focus in Queenstown to design and implement secure technology solutions that protect data and ensure regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with security, development, and business teams to embed security into the architecture of systems and applications.

The role requires deep knowledge of cybersecurity threats, risk assessments, and secure network design, with experience across cloud platforms and IAM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong knowledge of security principles and frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect secure technology solutions across platforms.
• Develop and implement security architecture standards, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct security risk assessments and threat modeling for systems.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into the SDLC.
• Evaluate security technologies to enhance posture.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and data privacy laws.
• Provide technical guidance on security architecture to teams and stakeholders.
• Design secure network architectures (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs).
• Oversee security controls implementation and monitor effectiveness.
• Respond to and manage security incidents from an architectural perspective.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
