Job summary

Stellar Recruitment partners with a leading commercial main contractor in New Zealand to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Advisor. You will lead H&S strategy and compliance across Auckland and Waikato, providing strategic advisory support for high‑risk operations.

Permanent role with potential progression to a senior advisory position. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years’ H&S experience, strong site leadership in construction, and NZQA Level 6 qualification or ICAM accreditation.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in health and safety with clear progression through roles.
• Strong advisory experience to influence operational teams.
• Background in a larger organisation (200+ employees) with safety at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead health and safety strategy and compliance across Auckland and Waikato.
• Act as a strategic advisor supporting the business on high-risk operations.
• Drive health and safety initiatives across commercial construction projects.
