HEB Construction in Napier, NZ invites an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to support projects across Hawke's Bay and Wellington. You will provide practical HSE guidance, lead incident investigations, and partner with managers, workers and subcontractors to improve safety.

The role requires at least three years in a construction health and safety environment, strong knowledge of legislation, and excellent communication and coaching skills.

Qualifications

• At least three years’ experience in a construction health and safety environment.
• Proven experience in investigations, monitoring, training, and coaching.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively across a wide range of audiences.
• A collaborative, team-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Providing effective health and safety support and advice across allocated business units within your region
• Leading and supporting high-quality incident investigations
• Building strong relationships with managers, workers, and subcontractors
• Delivering health and safety training across your region
• Conducting site inspections and providing monitoring and coaching
• Collating performance data and maintaining regional reporting
