Job summary

Travel Trade Recruitment is seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant to join as Financial Controller for a growing travel business in New Zealand and Australia. You will own the financial function, work directly with owners and leadership to deliver commercial insights, strengthen processes and drive growth.

The role is hands-on and offers influence beyond a traditional corporate setting, with responsibility across NZ and AU entities and currencies.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years post-qualification experience.
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Experience managing multiple entities across currencies (NZD, AUD).
• Excellent understanding of financial controls and processes.
• Hands-on approach with strategic mindset.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of management accounting and financial reporting for NZ and AU entities.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Provide commercial and strategic financial advice to owners and leadership.
• Oversee intercompany transactions and reconciliations across entities.
• Strengthen financial controls, systems and processes.
