New Zealand Transport Agency is seeking an Executive Advisor to act as a trusted strategic partner to the GGM Regulatory/Director Land Transport. The role focuses on executive decision support, governance, and performance across NZTA’s regulatory portfolio.

You will influence senior leaders, drive strategic planning, and help navigate risks and opportunities while collaborating with stakeholders across NZTA and the broader transport system to deliver safer, more effective regulation.

Qualifikationen

• Experience providing high-quality strategic advice to senior leaders in a large organisation.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Experience supporting governance processes, strategic planning, or enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Exceptional written communications for executive briefings, reports, and correspondence.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent judgement, initiative and proactive problem solving.

Aufgaben

• Provide strategic insight and trusted advice to the Regulatory GGM/Director Land Transport and Leadership Team.
• Support delivery of Regulatory strategy and NZTA priorities.
• Identify, assess and proactively manage risks, issues, and opportunities.
• Coordinate inputs from Board, ELT, Committee and ministerial inputs with forward planning and QA.
• Support strategy development, business planning and major organisational initiatives.
• Strengthen leadership, alignment and cross-team collaboration across NZTA.
