Job summary

Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities in Auckland seeks a Manager – Community Engagement and Partnerships to lead a high-performing team focused on strengthening relationships with communities and regional stakeholders.

You will provide strategic guidance, oversee engagement and placemaking initiatives, and work closely with iwi and hapū, local councils, and national teams to shape regional plans that respond to community needs and housing opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum proven experience leading high-performing teams in complex environments.
• Extensive engagement with communities, iwi, and local stakeholders.
• Experience shaping regional plans and public sector partnerships.
• Knowledge of New Zealand housing sector and policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing team delivering community engagement and placemaking strategies.
• Provide strategic advice to identify key regional relationships.
• Collaborate with regional managers to align iwi engagement and housing supply planning.
