Job summary

Hamilton City Council is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead capital projects from concept through to completion within the Design and Delivery team. You will balance safety, quality, time and budget while coordinating with technical specialists, consultants and contractors.

The role requires a tertiary qualification and demonstrated delivery of infrastructure projects, with strong commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

Experience delivering capital projects end-to-end.
Strong budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
Proven governance reporting and decision support.
Experience leading consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent communication to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

Lead capital projects across the full lifecycle from concept to handover.
Oversee budgets, contracts, procurement, risks and market realities.
Coordinate with technical specialists, consultants, contractors and governance groups.
Ensure delivery safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
