Job summary

MBIE is seeking a Senior Advisor to lead strategic workstreams for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2028 programme. The role reports to the Programme Manager and involves providing high-quality advice to Ministers and senior officials, and coordinating governance across government, delivery partners and host cities.

You will help identify risks, solve complex problems, and drive cross-agency collaboration to maximise economic, tourism and legacy benefits for New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Experience providing strategic, operational or policy advice in government or major events.
• Experience preparing ministerial briefings and responses for senior decision-makers.
• Proven ability to lead projects or work streams with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic and operational workstreams across the T20 World Cup Programme Office.
• Provide high-quality advice to Ministers and senior officials.
• Support governance arrangements to ensure successful tournament delivery.
