MBIE in Wellington seeks a Senior Advisor to support the Head of Innovation and Business Capability. You will help ensure the business unit operates effectively, delivering on priorities across planning, reporting, governance and strategy.

This varied role requires quickly grasping new topics, thriving in ambiguity, and applying excellent communication to complex issues while connecting people, information and processes across the unit.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to deliver in a government setting within complex authorising environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including machinery of government processes.
• Experience with planning, performance and reporting, continuous improvement and assurance.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Innovation and Business Capability and leadership to ensure the unit delivers on priorities.
• Work across business planning, reporting, governance, and strategic initiatives.
• Identify issues, coordinate activities, provide advice and support decision-making.
• Connect people, information and processes across the unit to realise priorities.
