Ventia is seeking a Vacuum Truck Operator – Stormwater Technician based in Kaitaia to support stormwater operations and protect local waterways. You will operate a vacuum truck, service stormwater devices, and conduct water blasting while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Health, safety and environmental standards are a core requirement.
• NZ Class 2 Drivers Licence is essential.
• Dangerous Goods (DG) endorsement is required.
• Experience in stormwater, drainage, civil construction or utility maintenance is preferred.
• Confined Space and Gas Detection certs are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate a vacuum truck and associated equipment.
• Drive and transport waste to approved disposal facilities.
• Service and maintain stormwater infrastructure and devices.
• Perform water blasting and cleaning operations.
• Complete safety and maintenance documentation.
