Job summary

AllRecruits Ltd. in Auckland is seeking an experienced Stormwater Modeller to join its Three Waters team on a variety of flood-risk, land development and infrastructure projects.

The role focuses on leading catchment and flood-modelling work, developing 1D–2D models using TUFLOW, InfoWorks ICM and DHI MIKE, and delivering robust outputs with strong client service. You will mentor junior modellers, contribute to project delivery and help create more resilient communities through Water Sensitive

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ hydraulic or stormwater-modelling experience.
• Strong 1D–2D modelling capability using leading software.
• Experience with NZ projects preferred.
• Ability to mentor junior modellers.
• Excellent client service and delivery focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver integrated catchment and flood-modelling work for strategy, planning, development and design projects.

• GIS mapping using QGIS, ArcGIS or MapInfo.

Job Description

We have an opportunity for an experienced Stormwater Modeller to join a nationally recognised company's Three Waters team. You will work on a varied portfolio of flood-risk, land development and infrastructure projects, helping clients make informed decisions and create more resilient communities. Projects will cover stormwater management, flood modelling, Water Sensitive Design, Blue-Green Infrastructure and Nature-based Solutions.

Role

• Lead and deliver integrated catchment and flood-modelling work for strategy, planning, development and design projects.
• Apply sound technical judgement, work directly with clients and project teams, and support the development of junior modellers.
• Develop 1D–2D models using TUFLOW, InfoWorks ICM and/or the DHI MIKE suite.
• GIS mapping using QGIS, ArcGIS or MapInfo.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges and produce robust, high-quality modelling and flood-mapping outputs.

Experience

• 8+ years’ relevant hydraulic or stormwater-modelling experience, preferably within New Zealand.
• Strong 1D–2D modelling capability using TUFLOW, InfoWorks ICM and/or the DHI MIKE suite.
• Experience with ESTRY, HEC-RAS or Flood Modeller would be advantageous.
• GIS capability using QGIS, ArcGIS or MapInfo.
• The ability to independently troubleshoot technical challenges and produce robust, high-quality modelling and flood-mapping outputs.
• A strong record of project delivery, client service and commercial awareness.
• The confidence to lead technical work and mentor developing team members.
