Job summary

Auckland Council’s Healthy Waters and Flood Resilience Department is recruiting a Healthy Waters Specialist to join the Lifecycle Planning team. You will perform asset management tasks focusing on stormwater assets, conducting lifecycle analytics, condition monitoring, renewal identification and risk mitigation.

You will collaborate with council teams and external partners to ensure assets deliver value for Auckland's growing communities, analyzing data to support renewal planning and lifecycle

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, science, or related discipline.
• Experience in three waters infrastructure or utility asset management.
• Experience in asset management, asset operations, or renewal management.
• Strong data management and advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyse asset data to support stormwater renewal planning and lifecycle decision-making.
• Analyse condition data, including defects, CCTV, and performance assessments.
• Identify asset risks and renewal priorities across the stormwater network.
• Collaborate with operational teams, planners, contractors, consultants, and partners to achieve outcomes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of asset management practices and stormwater planning processes.
