Job summary

Farmlands Co-Operative – Rangiora, South Island is seeking a Storeperson to join our team, focusing on deliveries, loading/unloading stock, and serving customers on the shop floor. This full-time role requires a strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment.

You will manage the back store operations, perform POS duties, stock administration, and ensure health and safety standards are met. Applicants must have legal right to work in New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Experience in storeroom, retail or warehouse setting using a forklift.
• Physically fit and able to lift 25 kg repeatedly.
• Basic computer skills for stock/administrative tasks.
• Friendly, approachable with strong communication and teamwork.
• Capable of multitasking and staying calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Providing superior service to our customers and freight companies.
• Operating a point of sale (POS) system.
• Completing administrative tasks such as maintaining and receipting of stock.
• Restocking and organising our product in the bulk store and stockroom.
• Compliance of health and safety regulations within a transport and stockroom environment.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Storeperson to join the team at our Rangiora branch, working 40 hours per week. This role has a focus on deliveries and the unloading/loading of stock and well as serving customers on the shop floor.

The back store operation is vital to our performance, so it is critical we get the right candidate who has a strong work ethic and thrives working in an environment that is fun while being fast-paced and demanding.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing superior service to our customers and freight companies.
• Operating a point of sale (POS) system.
• Completing administrative tasks such as maintaining and receipting of stock.
• Restocking and organising our product in the bulk store and stockroom.
• Compliance of health and safety regulations within a transport and stockroom environment.

• Previous experience working in a storeroom, either within a retail or warehouse environment using a forklift.
• You're physically fit (able to lift 25kg consecutively).
• Sound computer skills.
• Friendly and approachable with great communication skills.
• You work well in a team.
• Confident at multitasking and able to remain calm under pressure.
