Farmlands Te Whenua Tāroa is seeking a Storeperson at our Masterton branch, full-time, 40 hours per week, focusing on deliveries, stock handling, and serving customers on the shop floor. You will be the go-to for stock health, manage your area, and coordinate with freight companies to keep goods moving smoothly.

You'll grow within the role as you build skills and take on more responsibility, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, safety, and efficient stock management in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in storeroom, retail or warehouse using forklift.
• F endorsement.
• Physically fit to lift 25kg.

Responsibilities

• Deliveries and unloading/loading of stock.
• Serve customers on the shop floor.
• Maintain stock health and organise bulk store and stockroom.
• Operate a POS system.
• Liaise with internal and external freighting companies.
• Admin tasks such as stock receipting.
• Ensure health and safety compliance within a stockroom environment.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Storeperson to join the team at our Masterton branch, working 40 hours per week. This role has a focus on deliveries and the unloading/loading of stock, as well as serving customers on the shop floor.

The back store operation is vital to our performance, so it is critical we get the right person who has a strong work ethic and thrives in a fast-paced and demanding environment. You'll be the go-to person for stock health at the branch, taking ownership of your area and confidently managing your day-to-day workload independently, while working closely with the wider store team and internal and external freight companies to keep inwards and outwards goods moving smoothly. There's real scope to grow within the role as you build your skills and take on more responsibility.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing superior service to our customers and freight companies.

• Operating a point of sale (POS) system.

• Completing administrative tasks such as maintaining and receipting of stock.

• Restocking and organising our product in the bulk store and stockroom.

• Liaising with internal and external freighting companies to manage inwards and outwards goods.

• Acting as the gatekeeper for stock health across the branch.

• Compliance of health and safety regulations within a transport and stockroom environment.

• Previous experience working in a storeroom, either within a retail or warehouse environment using a forklift.

• An F endorsement.

• You're physically fit (able to lift 25kg consecutively).

• Sound computer skills.

• Friendly and approachable with great communication skills.

• You work well as part of a team, while also being confident working independently and taking ownership of your area.

• Confident at multitasking and able to remain calm under pressure.

• Self-motivated and able to prioritise your workload, stay on task and keep things moving without needing constant direction.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to getting stock processes right the first time.
