Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking an experienced Storeperson to join our client's team in Levin. This role blends hands-on warehouse work with stock control and administration, ideal for someone with forklift experience.

You will pick, pack, receive stock, use the ERP system for receipting, conduct stock takes, and maintain FIFO. Work with Store Manager and Branch Manager in a full-time, family-owned environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in steel warehouse, stores, or distribution.
  • Current New Zealand Driver Licence.
  • Current Forklift Licence with F endorsement.
  • Good computer skills and confidence using inventory or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for dispatch.
  • Receiving and checking incoming stock and receipting it into the ERP system.
  • Assisting with stock control, stock takes, and FIFO rotation.
  • Ensuring stock is stored safely and saleable.
  • Picking orders for dispatch and providing administrative support to the branch.
  • Working closely with the Store Manager, Branch Manager, and Head Office to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
  • Supporting the wider team wherever needed to ensure customers receive excellent service.

What You'll Be Doing

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a steel warehouse, stores, or distribution environment.
  • A current New Zealand Driver Licence.
  • A current Forklift Licence with F endorsement.
  • Good computer skills and confidence using inventory or ERP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organised.
  • A positive attitude, good communication skills, and a willingness to get stuck in.
  • Someone who enjoys working both independently and as part of a team.
