Job summary

Foodstuffs North Island is seeking an experienced Four Square Store Lead to anchor the retail setup and rollout of the Four Square 4.0 strategy across North Island stores, ensuring readiness and on-time openings.

Based in Mangere, Auckland with travel to stores, you’ll coordinate Owner Operators, Support Centre teams, and internal stakeholders to deliver projects while maintaining standards and customer focus.

Qualifications

• Strong grocery, food retail, or relevant FMCG experience.
• Deep understanding of product categories, merchandising, store layouts, and customer expectations.
• Proven project management experience with multiple priorities and tight timeframes.
• Experience with SAP and retail systems navigation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence, challenge, and drive action.
• Experience in complex organisations with multiple priorities.
• Strong commercial thinking and customer-first mindset.
• Excellent planning, communication and organisational skills.
• Resilience and adaptability; ability to push back constructively.
• Passion for retail and helping stores succeed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the retail implementation and opening of new Four Square stores, managing stores in planning or progress.
• Act as the connection point between Owner Operators and Support Centre teams.
• Drive adoption of the Four Square 4.0 strategy and secure stakeholder buy-in.
• Manage multiple projects and implementation workstreams simultaneously.
• Coordinate internal teams to ensure stores are ready to open on time and to standard.
• Provide visibility of risks, issues and solutions while maintaining momentum.
• Support transition of store-opening processes into BAU operations.
