Job summary

Foodstuffs North Island is seeking a Store Opening & COO Team Lead to drive successful openings, refurbishments and ownership transitions across our store network. You’ll coordinate Operators, Store Leadership, Retail Operations and other teams to ensure Day One readiness and long‑term performance.

We’re looking for an organised, hands‑on retail operations leader with 3–5 years of experience in deployments or large‑scale change.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in retail operations, store support, deployment or large-scale operational change environments.
• Hands-on experience supporting store openings, refurbishments or ownership transitions.
• Strong leadership capability coordinating teams and coaching others.
• Excellent stakeholder management with Operators, Store Managers and cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing multiple priorities and tight timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Store Opening & COO support activity across allocated projects.
• Support end-to-end delivery of store openings, refurbishments and ownership transitions.
• Ensure readiness standards, checklists and go-live processes are applied.
• Partner with Operators, incoming owners and Store Leadership teams to drive outcomes.
• Act as escalation point for operational issues and risks.
• Coach and support Store Opening & COO team members.
• Provide updates and insights to stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve readiness and post-launch performance.
