Job summary

Four Square Otaika, part of Foodstuffs North Island, is seeking a Store Assistant in Whangārei. You’ll provide friendly customer service at the checkout, help with filling shelves, and assist with deliveries; no two days are the same.

We are a busy, community-focused store valuing energy, reliability and teamwork. Closing shifts and at least one weekend day are required. Applicants must have the right to work in New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Friendly, can-do attitude and willingness to get stuck in.
• Genuine passion for delivering great customer service.
• Flexible availability including weekend shifts.
• Previous retail, supermarket or grocery experience preferred.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Providing friendly, fast and exceptional customer service at checkouts.
• Operating checkouts and assisting customers.
• Filling shelves and ensuring products are well stocked and presented.
• Unpacking deliveries and replenishing stock.
• Keeping the store clean, tidy and looking its best.
• Supporting the wider team wherever needed.
