Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a Registered Sterile Technician to join the Sterile Sciences Department in Lower Hutt. The role involves reprocessing reusable medical devices for operating theatres and endoscopy, with rostered and rotating shifts including weekends.

The successful candidate will hold Sterilising Technology Level 4 (or Level 3 if prior to 2019) and, ideally, GENCA Endoscopy qualifications; training for Endoscopy requirements can be provided.

Qualifications

• Hold a minimum certificate in Sterilising Technology Level 4 or equivalent (Level 3 if before 2019).
• Ideally have GENCA Endoscopy qualifications in addition to the above; full training can be provided in Endoscopy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work in the sterile reprocessing unit and endoscopy reprocessing unit.
• Rostered and rotating shifts with weekends; 0.6 FTE (48 hours per fortnight).
