Job summary

Baxter is hiring a Compounding Technician for our Christchurch facility on a full-time 12-month contract with potential extension and permanent positions. The role involves aseptic production of chemotherapy, antibiotics, and nutritional products for hospitals and patients, with shifts from 08:00 to 17:30 and overtime as needed.

Candidates new to pharmaceuticals are encouraged to apply as full training is provided.

Qualifications

• No prior pharmaceutical experience required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Picking and preparing raw materials
• Aseptically compounding (mixing) sterile solutions
• Packing of finished units for each order including final inspection of products
• Labelling and dispatching of prepared products
• Ensuring documentation is completed in accordance with GMP
• Adhering to Baxter’s Standard Operating Procedures
• Other duties as required
• Be comfortable working within a cleanroom environment for most of your working day
• Executing repetitive results in a consistent and accurate manner
• Demonstrate a good understanding of basic mathematics
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Experience in pharmacy, manufacturing or warehousing would be an advantage
• Tasks involve manual repetitive handling and dexterity
• Previous manual compounding experience highly regarded
