Job summary

South and North Ltd is seeking an experienced Software Developer to contribute to the Infomate web platform and iOS app. You will work across the full software lifecycle, turning business needs into practical features for community, service, marketplace, motor, and property modules.

You will collaborate with product, editorial, sales, and operations teams to improve performance and scale the platform while shaping technical direction with senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or closely related discipline.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with APIs, web services and third‑party system integrations.
• Strong software design, development and system integration skills.
• Good understanding of relational databases and data structures.
• Experience with software testing, debugging and production fault diagnosis.
• Knowledge of secure software development principles and data security.
• Version control and modern software development practices.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, consult on, and analyse software requirements across modules; translate into technical specifications.
• Review Infomate web platform and iOS app to identify bottlenecks and propose improvements.
• Develop, test, debug, and maintain application code per testing protocols and standards.
• Build and maintain source code for Infomate features across web and mobile platforms.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and user guidance.
• Provide input on software initiatives, effort estimates, and whether to build or buy
• Collaborate with UX, back-end, editorial, and advertising teams to deliver end-to-end features.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, testing and release planning.
