Job summary

St Peter's School in Cambridge, New Zealand, is seeking an organised, enthusiastic Sports Convenor and Administrator to join our busy Sports Department. The role blends sports coordination, administration, coaching and event support, with occasional evening and weekend work.

Part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate. You will coordinate sports portfolios, support program delivery, manage admin tasks, and assist with recruitment and safety requirements within a dynamic school

Qualifications

• At least two years' experience in a busy administration or customer service environment.
• Strong computer skills across Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience working with databases and generating reports, or the ability to quickly learn new systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate an allocated portfolio of sports and support delivery of programmes.
• Coach a sport/s as part of your portfolio.
• Manage sports administration including draws, results, reports and SOCS updates.
• Support coaches and managers with resources, packs and administration.
• Assist with coach and manager recruitment and contracting processes.
• Coordinate Consent2Go and Health & Safety requirements.
• Support sporting events, exchanges, Tournament Week, assemblies, colour awards and prize giving.
• Compile team reports for the School Chronicle.
• Provide administrative support across the Sport Department and wider School as required.
• Evening and weekend work to support events and activities when required.
