About the Role

Our client, a leading logistics and distribution company, is seeking a highly skilled and diligent Specialized Cleaning Technician to join their operations in Queenstown, Eastern Cape . This role is essential for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within a demanding logistics environment, including warehouses, loading bays, and associated facilities. The technician will be responsible for performing deep cleaning tasks, operating specialized industrial cleaning equipment, and adhering to strict safety protocols. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with a strong technical aptitude and a commitment to excellence in sanitation. This is a critical role ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the logistics hub.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform deep cleaning and sanitization of warehouse floors, racking systems, and operational areas.
• Operate and maintain specialized industrial cleaning machinery, such as high-pressure washers, ride-on scrubbers, and sweepers.
• Handle and apply industrial-strength cleaning chemicals safely and effectively, following all safety data sheets (SDS).
• Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of all assigned cleaning equipment.
• Identify and report any potential hazards or maintenance issues within the work environment.
• Follow strict health, safety, and environmental protocols at all times.
• Manage cleaning supplies and ensure proper storage and inventory levels.
• Assist in the implementation of new cleaning procedures and technologies.
• Maintain cleanliness of changing rooms, offices, and rest areas within the facility.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a specialized or industrial cleaner, preferably in a logistics or manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining industrial cleaning equipment.
