Job summary

Genius Early Years seeks a qualified Visiting Teacher to support our in-home educators across the Waikato/BOP regions. The role focuses on professional leadership, mentoring, and coaching, with travel required to support Educators and the team.

This permanent part-time position starts at 10 hours per week, with potential to increase as the network grows. You must hold an early childhood teaching qualification (Diploma or higher) and a current NZ Education Council practicing certificate.

Qualifications

• Early childhood teaching qualification (minimum Diploma of Teaching).
• Current full NZ Education Council practicing certificate.
• Experience mentoring/coaching adults.
• Full clean NZ driver’s license.
• Knowledge of ECE professional practice and MOE legislation.
• Ability to manage varied workload and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional leadership and support to in-home Educators.
• Travel across Waikato/BOP regions to support Educators and team.
• Lead adults, including mentoring and coaching, to improve quality of care and education.
• Provide administrative support and contribute to programme planning where needed.
