Job summary

Philip Morris International is seeking a Territory Manager to manage a retail portfolio across Christchurch and the wider South Island. The role focuses on growing distribution, improving in-store execution, and delivering PMI commercial strategies in market.

The position requires regular travel, strong relationship skills, and the ability to analyze sales data to drive improvements. An autonomous field-based sales role with monthly trips to Nelson and Blenheim is involved.

Qualifications

• Experience in field sales or account management with a track record of hitting targets.
• Ability to build and maintain retailer relationships and grow distribution.
• Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with retail customers across the territory.
• Identify opportunities to grow distribution, visibility and sales performance.
• Deliver execution of trade programs, promotions and in-store initiatives.
• Develop and implement territory plans to hit sales objectives.
• Analyze sales data and market insights to identify opportunities and risks.
• Conduct regular customer visits and maintain an effective call cycle.
• Negotiate with retailers to achieve company objectives.
• Travel across South Island with regular overnight stays.
