Job summary

Environment Canterbury in Timaru is seeking a rivers engineering professional to support the Rivers team. You will contribute to the construction and maintenance of flood protection works, channel management, land drainage, and flood response across South Canterbury.

You will undertake asset and field inspections, organise and supervise contractors, and liaise with partners and stakeholders, including mana whenua, to ensure high-quality delivered works.

Qualifications

• Contractor and budget management experience.
• Engineering qualification required.
• Ability to manage field assets and operate in remote locations.
