Job summary

Pfizer Australia and New Zealand seeks a Quality Assurance professional to support QMS processes, audits, and supplier oversight in a hybrid work setting. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement across ANZ.

Minimum 3 years in pharma quality, science degree, and strong writing skills are required. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliant product supply.

Qualifications

  • A tertiary education in Science, Pharmacy or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years in the pharmaceutical industry in a quality role.
  • Ability to influence, particularly with stakeholders and external parties.
  • Experience with Australian and New Zealand legislation, GMP, GDP and QMS.
  • Technical writing and reporting; strong critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and within own/ interdepartmental units.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Proactive problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation and maintenance of QMS processes to ensure compliance with Pfizer and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate quality training, change management activities, and quality performance monitoring.
  • Participate in internal audits, self-inspections, and regulatory inspections, supporting inspection readiness activities.
  • Contribute to quality risk management and drive timely completion of quality improvement actions.
  • Support local product release and disposition activities in accordance with applicable licences and procedures.
  • Investigate product quality issues and deviations with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Support qualification and ongoing oversight of GMP/GDP suppliers and service providers.
  • Assist in maintaining supplier compliance with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support customer screening and quality assurance processes within the supply network.
  • Contribute to delivery of quality and business improvement projects across ANZ.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to support compliant product supply.
  • Promote a proactive quality culture and continuous improvement mindset.

What You Will Achieve

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
  • A minimum Tertiary Education in Science, Pharmacy or related discipline
  • A minimum of 3 years in the pharmaceutical industry in a quality role
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, particularly with stakeholders and external parties
  • experience in Australian and New Zealand legislation, GMP, GDP and QMS
  • Technical writing and reporting; strong critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work effectively within own team and interdepartmental teams
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)
  • Experience in quality administered systems
  • Experience with electronic documentation control systems
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and documentation
  • Ability to mentor and review the work of other colleagues
  • Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
