Job summary

Christchurch Airport is seeking a pragmatic Solution Architect to help evaluate options, design secure and sustainable architectures, and balance delivery needs with long-term outcomes.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders, engineers and cybersecurity specialists to guide solution design, align with enterprise architecture principles, and contribute to architecture governance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in solution architecture or a comparable technical role involving architectural responsibilities.
• Broad technical knowledge across applications, cloud, infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, data or related technology domains.
• Experience working with business stakeholders, technical specialists and technology partners to develop or recommend technology solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse business and technology problems, evaluate solution options and make sound architectural recommendations.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and documentation skills.
• Well organized, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, adapt to changing priorities and deliver quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Understand business needs with stakeholders and partners, evaluate solution options and develop pragmatic architectures.
• Develop solution architectures that align with enterprise architecture principles and long-term technology direction.
• Evaluate technology options and provide architectural recommendations balancing business needs, security, resilience and sustainability.
