About the opportunity

I'm pleased to be working with a long-standing firm in the Wellington region that is well known for the quality of their service to their local and loyal client base. They are looking to welcome a solicitor to join their team focusing on property, trusts, and estates. The team is well resourced at vairous levels providing mentorship and guidance from seniors in the firm to a well set-up backbone of the firm. You'll be working with experienced partners and senior lawyers, gaining hands-on responsibility while continuing to develop your technical skills in a supportive environment.
The work will include a mix of:

• Buying, selling and refinancing residential and commercial property
• Trust formation, administration and restructuring
• Wills, enduring powers of attorney and estate administration
• Relationship property matters

The scope of work will be varied, however, this firm is keen to work around your strengths and interests, so there is flexibility for the role to carry more weight in certain areas depending on where your experience and interests lie.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Ideally have 2-6 years' post-admission experience within a New Zealand law firm, although applications from lawyers with more or less experience are welcomed
• Have experience across commercial, property and/or trusts & estates matters
• Be a collaborative team player with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
