Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking an Intermediate and a Senior .NET Software Engineer to join our Platform team and build foundational services, libraries, and tooling that power our product engineering squads.

This role is backend-focused, with ~100% of time on server-side tasks including cloud deployment, containerization, and performance-critical systems. You will mentor peers, uphold coding standards, security, and observability, and shape engineering practices across the organization.

We're looking for an Intermediate, and a Senior,.Net Software Engineer to join our Platform team, to help build the foundational services, libraries, and tooling that power our product engineering squads.

You’ll be joining a highly skilled and fun team that values engineering excellence. This is a role for someone who loves backend engineering; nearly 100% of your time will be spent on server-side challenges involving cloud deployment tools, containerization, platform libraries, and performance-critical systems.

About The Role

In this role, you will:

• Use your deep expertise in C# and.NET to build the core services, libraries, and tools that enable our engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable products
• Collaborate closely with your squad, other engineering teams, and our architecture and product groups to design and evolve a robust, secure, and high-performing platform
• Champion engineering quality by producing consistent, maintainable, well-tested code
• Mentor and support less experienced engineers, helping them grow in both technical skill and engineering maturity
• Leverage modern AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, support refactoring, and enhance design decision-making
• Help shape best practices for responsible AI usage within our engineering workflows
