Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora invites applications for an experienced Social Worker or Psychologist to lead the development of supportive care education for clinicians delivering Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT) across Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley Cancer Services. This 0.4 FTE fixed-term position runs for up to six months and may be offered as a secondment.

Qualifications

• NZ Registered Social Worker with APC is required.
• Clinical experience in Oncology/Haematology is essential.
• Proficiency in English and good written communication are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of supportive care education for clinicians delivering SACT.
• Identify learning needs and develop education across settings.
• Deliver education and promote the stepped care model to support equitable care.
• Build workforce capability to deliver patient-centred care and reduce practice variation.
• Design and facilitate a dedicated supportive care study day.
