Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking an experienced Dietitian for a fixed-term, part-time role (0.6 FTE) across Wellington with Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley Cancer Services. The role focuses on strengthening nutrition support for patients undergoing Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT).

You will work with clinicians to define current pathways, implement new cancer medicines, and improve access to care while promoting equitable outcomes across the district.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Dietitian with the Dietitians Board of New Zealand.
• Annual Practising Certificate with prescribing endorsement.
• Minimum 5 years clinical experience as a dietitian.
• 2 years in Haematology or Oncology.
• Experience developing clinical pathways within a complex setting.
• Experience of service improvement and small project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Review and strengthen nutrition support for people receiving SACT across Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley Cancer Services.
• Support implementation of new cancer medicines and shift toward care closer to home.
• Define current state and identify opportunities to improve nutrition pathways and access to care.
• Collaborate with clinicians and stakeholders to ensure equitable outcomes across the district.
