Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Social Auxiliary Worker to support vulnerable individuals and families in the Queenstown area. Under supervision of a Social Worker, you will deliver practical assistance and connect clients with essential services to improve wellbeing.

You will conduct needs assessments, assist with accessing resources, and help clients develop coping skills, while maintaining accurate records and participating in home visits when required.

Qualifications

• A recognized qualification as a Social Auxiliary Worker.
• Registration with SACSSP.
• Previous experience in a social work or community support setting is advantageous.
• Good understanding of social welfare services and community resources.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and in challenging circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Assist Social Workers in conducting needs assessments and gathering client information.
