Job summary

Veolia Australia and New Zealand seeks an experienced Supervisor - Sludge Minimisation Facility to lead operations at New Zealand's first THP facility in Wellington. You will manage a 5-person team, drive operational excellence, and transfer global best practices to local teams.

The role demands a degree in engineering or equivalent, with at least 5 years in wastewater operations, SCADA proficiency, and strong leadership. A dedicated team environment and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or technical certifications in wastewater treatment or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in wastewater treatment operations.
• Experience in complex processing plants with gas, steam and heat integration.
• Demonstrated supervisory/leadership experience.
• Proficiency in SCADA and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the SMF operational team and foster safety culture.
• Ensure optimal performance of SMF processes including THP.
• Collaborate with Moa Point WWTP team for integrated plant performance.
• Implement process improvements and operational optimisations.
• Manage safety initiatives, compliance and emergency preparedness.
• Transfer specialized technical knowledge and develop local capability.
• Monitor performance metrics and maintain accurate records.
• Deputise for Wastewater Treatment Manager when required.
