Surf Life Saving New Zealand (SLSNZ) is seeking a knowledgeable Member Education Administrator to support volunteers and clubs, handling member education processes and record keeping across the country.
You will work with the National Education Manager to ensure accurate qualification recognition, streamline admin workflows, and improve member experience within a compassionate, community-focused charity.
Full time, permanent | Based at any SLSNZ office |$66,000-$68,000
Every summer, thousands of volunteer surf lifeguards give their time to protect people on our beaches. Their skills, training and confidence are essential to what they do, and good administration helps make that training possible.
We’re looking for an organised, approachable administrator who enjoys helping people, getting the details right and making processes easier to navigate.
Surf Life Saving New Zealand (SLSNZ) is a charity supporting 74 surf lifesaving clubs across Aotearoa. Our work brings together lifesaving and rescue services, beach safety education, member training and development, and surf lifesaving sport. We’re driven by a shared vision: No one drowns at the beach in Aotearoa New Zealand.
In this role, you’ll help our members gain qualifications, build their skills and have their achievements recognised accurately and promptly.
Reporting to the National Education Manager, you’ll be a point of contact for members, clubs and volunteer instructors and examiners across the country. Your work will combine helpful member service with accurate records and practical improvements to our education processes.
You’ll:
You’ll bring strong administration experience, excellent attention to detail and a friendly, responsive approach. You’ll be comfortable managing several priorities, following tasks through to completion and handling confidential information with care.
You’ll also be confident using Microsoft 365 and databases or similar systems, back end website management with the ability to learn new platforms. Clear communication matters: you’ll help people understand requirements and next steps without making things more complicated.
Experience in education administration, qualifications, learning systems, or a membership or volunteer organisation would be useful. Surf lifesaving knowledge is welcome, but isn’t essential, we’re interested in the skills and perspective you can bring.
This is an opportunity to put your administration skills towards work with a clear community purpose. You’ll build relationships across a national volunteer movement and help make learning and development easier for the people who give so much to others. Our values include integrity, respect, collaboration, wellbeing and fun.
Applications close 02 November.
