Job summary

Te Aratika Infrastructure Limited is seeking an experienced Skilled Laborer / Gas Technician to join our team in Taranaki. You will work across civil infrastructure and underground gas projects to deliver safe, high-quality services that support local communities.

Key requirements include a NZ Class 1 licence, civil infra experience, and willingness to complete gas industry training. Competitive remuneration negotiable based on experience.

Qualifications

• Full New Zealand Class 1 Driver Licence.
• Experience in civil infrastructure.
• Commitment to health, safety and quality.
• Reliable, hardworking and team-oriented attitude.
• Willingness to complete gas industry training and certification.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand.
• Gas industry certification is advantageous but not essential.
• Experience around gas networks or underground utility services.
• WTR endorsements.
• STMS or TTM qualifications.
• Other relevant industry licences or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality services across civil infrastructure and underground gas projects.
• Work with the team to support local communities and project delivery.
• Maintain health and safety and quality standards on site.

Working across civil infrastructure and underground utility (gas) projects, you'll play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality services that support local communities.

What You'll Need

• Full New Zealand Class 1 Driver Licence
• Experience working in the civil infrastructure industry
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality
• Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented attitude
• Willingness to complete gas industry training and certification
• Legal right to work in New Zealand
• Advantageous (Not Essential) Gas industry certification
• Experience working around gas networks or underground utility services (UUS)
• WTR (Wheels, Tracks and Rollers) endorsements
• STMS (Site Traffic Management Supervisor) or TTM (Temporary Traffic Management) qualifications
• Other relevant industry licences or certifications

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm Flexibility may be required from time to time to meet operational and project requirements
