CanRecruit is seeking two General Labourers to join a busy industrial team in Middleton. Roles involve manual labour, working with metal components, and training on processes and machinery. Morning shifts on the extrusion role with overtime potential, and general labouring shift 8:00am–4:30pm.

Starts are immediate with weekly pay and a supportive, team-focused environment. Candidates should be physically fit, reliable, and capable of heavy lifting up to 20kg.

Qualifications

• Physically fit for manual, labour-intensive work.
• Able to lift up to 20 kg.
• Reliable, punctual and willing to work hard.
• Able to follow health and safety procedures.
• Experience with hand and power tools is an advantage.
• Manufacturing, foundry or production experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Work on an extrusion line and handle brass and other metal components.

General Labourers – 2 Positions Available

Our client is looking for two reliable and hardworking General Labourers to join their busy industrial and manufacturing team in Middleton.

These are hands‑on roles working across different areas of the business. You’ll be involved in general labouring, manual production work and working with metal components, with training provided on the processes and machinery.

About the Roles Depending on the position, duties may include:

• Operating a friction saw to break up re‑melt spills from the foundry
• Working on an extrusion line and handling brass and other metal components
• General labouring across multiple departments
• Manual production and repetitive line work
• Handling and moving metal components weighing up to 20kg
• Assisting with workshop and production tasks
• Safely using hand and power tools
• Learning the extrusion process, with potential opportunities to train in machine operation
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Working as part of a team to meet production requirements

Some work will be completed outdoors, so you’ll need to be comfortable working in varying conditions.

What's on Offer

• Two positions available
• Monday to Friday
• 6:00am – 2:30pm for the extrusion role, with potential overtime
• 8:00am – 4:30pm for the general labouring role
• Starting from $25.00 per hour
• Immediate starts available
• Opportunity to gain experience in a busy industrial manufacturing environment
• Initial assignment of approximately two weeks for the general labouring position, with potential to extend for the right person
