Job summary

John Jones Steel is seeking experienced riggers and composite floor decking staff to work on diverse sites. Some projects may require extended out-of-town work across New Zealand. We value health and safety commitment and fit-for-work applicants who can follow directions in English.

Prevailing duties include reading drawings, erecting steel structures, and ensuring equipment is operating safely. Candidates with rigging licences and Heights/EWP tickets are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in steel erection on site.
• Ability to read structural drawings for erection.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Erect structural steel on various sites across New Zealand/NZ Marlborough region.
• Read and interpret steel drawings to guide on-site erection.
• Conduct daily checks of equipment and report issues; maintain safety standards.
