Job summary

Brosnan is seeking a Site Manager (Commercial) to lead on-site activities across a range of high-profile commercial projects in Auckland, New Zealand.

You will own quality control, health and safety management, and subcontractor coordination, while developing construction methodologies and the delivery programme. A strong track record in commercial construction and collaborative teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a Site Manager (Commercial).
• Exceptional planning and co-ordination ability.
• High attention to detail.

• Strong understanding of commercial construction techniques and standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate resources onsite to construct works per drawings and specs.
• Review drawings and specs for buildability before works start.
• Collaborate with project team, contractors, clients and consultants.
• Work with Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor.
• Site set up and close out; supervise all activities on site.
• Report progress to internal managers and run subcontractor meetings.
• Assist in site reporting and health and safety management.

About The Role

Are you looking for a role where you get to work on a variety of projects, where your innovative ideas and suggestions are appreciated? You will be responsible and take ownership of all site based activities, quality control, health and safety management, and sub-contractors, assisting in the development of construction methodologies and the delivery programme.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate resources onsite to construct works accurately per the drawings and specification;
• Review Drawings and Specifications to ensure buildability of works prior to works starting;
• Working through design issues with the project team, contractors, clients and consultants
• Work closely with the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor
• Site set up and close up;
• Supervision of all activities on site
• Accurately reporting progress to internal managers;
• Running subcontractor meetings;
• Assisting the Project Manager in the preparation of site reports
• Managing Health and Safety on site (with support from company HSE manager)

Requirements

• 5+ years experience as a Site Manager (Commercial)
• Exceptional planning and co-ordination ability to achieve successful outcomes
• High attention to detail
• Must work well within a team and have a positive ‘Can do' attitude
• Thorough understanding of commercial construction techniques and standards
