Job summary

AWF Group is seeking a site engineer for a Wellington, New Zealand-based role. You will plan and oversee daily site engineering activities, coordinate with design, safety, procurement and construction teams, and manage work packs and site records to support safe, on-time project delivery.

Ideal candidates will have a tertiary engineering qualification and at least 2 years' civil or infrastructure experience, with strong drawing interpretation skills and a calm, organized approach in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in civil or infrastructure construction.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and apply them on site.
• Clear communication skills with a collaborative team-focused approach.
• Calm, organised and methodical in a fast-paced site environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee daily site engineering activities to meet programme deadlines and cost targets.
• Prepare and manage construction work packs for allocated scopes of work.
• Maintain accurate site records, daily diaries and cost control documentation.
• Work closely with design, safety, procurement and construction teams to support smooth delivery.
• Assist with construction sequencing, work methodologies and delivery planning.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental controls are implemented on site.
