Job summary

Seipp Construction Ltd is seeking a Site Engineer for the Lower North Island, starting in Carterton with RNZAF Base Ohakea. You’ll be on-site, collaborating with Project Managers and Supervisors, and traveling across the region to support multiple projects.

Two major projects will expose you to civil and mechanical works, with opportunities to learn, plan and problem-solve in live environments. A defined engineering career pathway leads to Project Engineer and Senior Project Manager roles.

Qualifications

• Civil or Mechanical Engineering qualification or other relevant tertiary qualification.
• Some experience in construction or infrastructure is desirable.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the Lower North Island.

Responsibilities

• Be on site, working alongside Project Managers, Project Engineers, Supervisors and construction teams.
• Plan and coordinate upcoming works and turn drawings into practical construction plans.
• Work through technical and buildability challenges and develop delivery methodologies.
• Track quantities, costs, programme and progress; coordinate procurement and subcontractors.
• Ensure quality assurance and project documentation and liaise with clients and consultants.
